Finish carpentry, built to be lived with.

Waterview Carpentry, LLC is a finish carpentry shop in Morrison, Colorado. Nothing below came off a shelf: each piece was built for one room, one opening, and the exact thing it had to hold. The work is photographed as it was finished, in the homes it was built for.

Built for exactly what it holds.

The urn sconces are the clearest example. Each one was built around a single, specific urn — its shelf, collar, and brace sized to that vessel alone — and then the two were built to match each other. The close-up and the wide shot are both here on purpose, so the joinery and the repetition can each be judged.

The same rule runs through the rest of the work: a spice rack sized to its jars, a knife insert cut for its knives, doors built to their openings, bookcases built to their wall. A matched pair has to match, and a drawer insert has to fit the knives it holds.

If you are planning a room and want to talk through what the woodwork in it should do, start with a call or an email. Bring the room — and what it has to hold; the details follow.

The business side

A carpenter first — worked side by side with every trade on this project, and on site for whatever needed doing to assist, so the whole job came together as a single piece of work. A licensed and insured general contractor in Boulder County, Jefferson County, and the City of Lakewood. Denver jobs welcome — licensed there when the work calls for it.
